These would-be thieves figured they’d bring lots of muscle to get away with an ATM machine from a local bank. Unfortunately, things didn’t quite work out as they had planned!
The thieves stole a forklift from a construction site in order to more easily steal an ATM. The robbers didn’t quite think it through, though, and when an alarm was triggered, the would-be bandits took off.
The police are now investigating the destruction of the ATM, but no money was stolen and they still don’t have any suspects.
When police responded to the alarm that was triggered at the bank, they found that a forklift had been run straight into the ATM. These robbers were hoping that the force would be enough and the money would come flying out!
The cops estimate that $2,000 in damage was done to the forklift and didn’t have the keys in it when police showed up. Maybe the robbers thought they’d come back for it later?
