This guy really amped things up on his recent high speed chase with a child hanging on for dear life in the back seat! He even managed to get airborne when he busted through some hay bales!
James Jenkins, 33, was going 80 in a 55 mph zone when police caught sight of him and began their pursuit. They were quickly in for quite a treat when he refused to pull over and decided to go off-roading! In the end, he ran through multiple hay bales, followed a power line trail and went airborne multiple times due to his excessive speeds. Scary!
Once the cops finally caught up to him and he stopped the car, he quickly began running towards the woods with a beer. Smart! He ended up running headfirst into a tree, which cut up his eye and ultimately was the end of the road for him with the cops in quick pursuit.
Jenkins not only had a child in the car, but he also had another passenger who tried to get him to stop. But when he adamantly refused, the passenger knew that they were “along for the ride.”
The child was strapped into a car seat in the back and was hanging on with all of his might during the chase. Poor kid but luckily, nobody was injured.
Jenkins was arrested and charged with fleeing and eluding with disregard for the safety of others, driving with a suspended license as a habitual offender, child neglect, resisting arrest without violence and felony probation violation. Oh… and don’t forget about the ticket he got for having an open intoxicant in his car!
