You just never know what you’re going to come across in California! A man was recently arrested for driving under the influence on a freeway in Southern California… on a horse!
Luis Perez, 29, had a blood-alcohol level of more than double the legal limit when he decided it would be a good idea to guide his horse onto the freeway.
He continued to ride his horse down the interstate when the cops came upon him and arrested him after he failed a field sobriety test.
He was booked into jail and was being held in lieu of more than $50,000 bail.
Luckily the horse was unharmed in all of the commotion and is back where he belongs.
“We get a chuckle out of the interesting situations we encounter from time to time, but one thing we do not do is ‘horse’ around with DUI,” the police tweeted!
